This project is an excellent example of an exciting collaboration with architects and designers. And, of course, without PJS’s team bringing the design to life, it could not be done! The brief of this South London project was to build an extension of a victorian house to meet the needs of a young and expanding family, which was to streamline the space and maximise the natural light and views to the backyard garden.
This was achieved by adding a glazed wall to the back of the house and skylights, allowing the sunlight in the house. The new addition involved positioning new plumbing, electrical installation and UFH running under the new timber flooring. To complete the look, the existing part was refurbished throughout while paying extra attention to the quirky details of the house’s architecture.
